Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew is the only premier in Canada with majority approval.

New data from the Angus Reid Institute shows big bumps of approval for B. C’s David Eby and Ontario’s Doug Ford. Both have seen a 10 per cent increase to 41 and 31 per cent approval respectively.

In the two provinces which have referendums in October, Quebec premier Christine Frechette has 39 per cent approval and Alberta’s Danielle Smith is at 38 per cent.

Angus Reid describe Wab Kinew’s approval as his honeymoon period with 63 per cent approval in the province.

The second most approved-of premiers in the country are Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe and Newfoundland and Labrador’s Tony Wakeham – both at 48 per cent.
