Around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday a semi hauling what appeared to be hauling industrial waste collided with the overpass at the intersection or Lorne Avenue and Ruth Street.
Traffic in the Exhibition area was still moving albeit slowly until it was removed.
An email from Saskatoon Police Service just before 4 p.m. stated that a semi hauling a trailer struck the overpass at Ruth and Lorne. City engineers have assessed the damage and cleared the scene. It appears damage to the overpass is minor.
This is the seventh time that an overpass has been hit in Saskatoon this year.
