Leader RCMP have identified and located the driver of a red SUV that was impersonating a police vehicle with illegal lights.

The driver has been ticketed for equipping a non-emergency vehicle with emergency equipment. Officers also seized two sets of imitation police lights the person had in their possession.

Investigators do not believe the driver approached any other vehicles with the illegal emergency lights activated.

RCMP issued a news release on October 15th asking the public to help identify the owner of the vehicle.
