Edmonton Police are reaching out to the public in Saskatchewan and Manitoba to try and identify an unknown man seen with a missing father and his kids.
The E-P-S notified the public on September 8th in Alberta that 42-year-old Scot MacDermid, and his two children, George, 6, and Lesley, age 9 were missing.
Since then, investigators have learned that Scot and his children were seen in Lloydminster with an unknown man on Aug. 28, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The travel direction of Scot and his children beyond Lloydminster is unknown at this time; however, police believe they may have been seen in Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
Anyone with information about the identity of the unknown male or the current whereabouts of Scot, George or Lesley is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.

Scot MacDermid is described as 5’5” tall, weighs approximately 160 lbs and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Lesley, 9, is described as 4’4” tall, weighs approximately 45 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
George, 6, is described as 4’2” tall, weighs approximately 45 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.
