Conexus Credit Union celebrated International Credit Union Day by announcing the development of a new branch in Saskatoon, and $86,000 in local community donations.
The branch is located at 80-3005 Meadows Parkway in the Meadow neighbourhood in the South-East corner of Saskatoon. The new location will be known as “Meadows”, and is set to open in late 2027.
The full-service branch will offer members and soon-to-be members personal and business banking, lending, wealth management, and more. As well, the new location is expected to feature a drive-through ATM, a full Thrive Wealth Management office, and a modern design.
Celina Philpot is the CEO of Conexus. She says Conexus is working with Citylife Investment Corp., a business member-owner, to develop the new location.
“As more residents and business in Saskatoon look to Credit Unions for the financial needs, we want to make sure we have the right physical space available in order to work with them. Our members own their credit union and have in actual voice in how we operate.”
Philpot says members will be able to influence the design of the new location at every step of the way through feedback surveys.
Along with the new branch, the Credit Union has also donated $86,000 to Saskatoon and area causes. Funds for the donations come from the Synergy Credit Union Shares Fund and the Conexus Community Vitality Fund. Organizations receiving the donation include Autism Services of Saskatoon, Cosmo Industries, the Saskatoon Open Door Society, and more.
