Saskatoon Police are investigating a suspicious housefire that occurred early Friday morning, taking the life of a pet.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., police and fire services responded to a house fire in the 300 block of Avenue E North. Initial investigation has deemed the fire suspicious.

There were no reported injuries, however a dog has since been located dead inside the home.
Investigators are asking for public assistance from residents in the area to submit surveillance footage of any activity captured between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
